Hold an online garage sale cheap
Written by Christine Senter on March 14th, 2008In previous posts, I’ve discussed the different options of selling your stuff online. One of those options was to hold an online garage sale. There are several different ways of doing this, depending on your budget. However, I’ve found a site where you can do this for a full year, without spending a ton of cash in the process.
This site is called Its All Gotta Go, and it’s a nice alternative to Ebay and other online auction sites. The difference is in the prices, or lack thereof. In a nutshell, you get a spot to sell your things for a full year with no hidden costs, no extra fees, and no limits on how often you can change your listings.
With this site, you get a your choice of three different packages. If you’re only looking to sell a few things, you might want to try the smallest package. This package entails a 2000 character description of the product you want to sell, your contact information, the price of your product, and a picture, all for only $2 a year. If you sell that item and decide you want to sell something else, you simply start over with no extra charge. That spot is yours for a full year. You can reuse that spot over and over again.
The second package is probably the best option as you get 25 spots to sell things in. Each spot gets all the same things as mentioned above, plus 4 pictures per post. And again, you can use these spots over and over again, for only $24 per year.
The last package comes with all the things mentioned above, except you get 200 ad spaces at a price of only $48 per year. As before, you can use these spots over and over again. There is no replacement or insertion fees, so you can change your ads anytime you want at no extra cost.
If you’ve got a few things to get rid of, or are looking to open your own online shop, this could be the place to start. As with any site, you should read all the details before jumping in, but from what I’ve seen of this site, I’m impressed so far.
With spring just around the corner, it’s time to start cleaning out those closets. Don’t just through all that stuff out, sell it online. Because sooner or later, It’s All Gotta Go.
